First look: Mozilla Thunderbird (latest nightly build)
Some pictures from the latest Shredder (Mozilla Thunderbird) installation. :)
Once installed, it comes up with a delightfully simple screen for mail set up. No more "Do you want to configure it now?" nag screen ...I wanted you to see the screen in itself again ...
Here is what it looks like when you enter your information.
After you enter your name, email address, and password, Shredder goes off to work and finds the settings that are most likely correct. If you use an obscure server (or your IT guy is bonkers), you might need to do a manual setup. For the rest of us, the default is good enough.
Note: For this experiment, I disabled POP access in my gmail and enabled IMAP.Once you are done creating your account, it will ask you what you want to do as far as default application for mail is concerned. Since this is only a demo, I do not want to use Shredder as my default client for anything. Sadly, I cannot uncheck Newsgroup. I am not sure why.

Here's my home screen when all is done.
Shredder goes off to work as you can see in this progress bar.

Thank you for reading and watching. I hope you liked it.
